maior efici{\^e}ncia e menor custo.
{\'u}nicos dados dispon{\'{\i}}veis s{\~a}o aqueles
lacunas. O foco inicial {\'e} o uso da segunda
gera{\c{c}}{\~a}o da rean{\'a}lise MERRA2 (Modern-Era
Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications), a
tropicais e subtropicais do Brasil.
As vari{\'a}veis
utilizadas da reanalise MERRA2 e analisadas nesse trabalho
s{\~a}o: Surface Net Downward Shortwave Flux (SWGNT), Surface Net
Downward Shortwave Flux assumindo nenhum aerossol (SWGNTCLN),
Surface Net Downward Shortwave Flux assumindo c{\'e}u claro
(SWGNTCLR) e o Surface Net Downward Shortwave Flux assumindo
considerando as nuvens e aerossol.
an{\'a}lise dos efeitos dos aeross{\'o}is utilizando a
vari{\'a}vel AOD (Profundidade {\'O}ptica dos Aeross{\'o}is)
agosto e setembro.
at{\'e} o presente momento, portanto, ser{\~a}o
Amaz{\^o}nia. ABSTRACT: Motivated by the great demand for
alternative sources of renewable energy generation in Brazil, the
present study focuses on energy generation through solar
irradiation. In recent years, the technology associated with
photovoltaic power generation has made great advances, enabling
greater efficiency and lower cost. Despite all this evolution of
new equipment, in Brazil the availability of observed data on
solar irradiation to validate the generation potential of this
type of energy is very limited. Considering that for some regions
of the country the only data available are those extrapolated from
weather stations elsewhere, one of the approaches of this study is
the use of meteorological reanalysis data to fill these gaps. The
initial focus is the use of the second generation ofmerra2
reanalysis (Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and
Applications), the only reanalysis that considers the assimilation
of aerosol data, distributed by NASA's GMAO, to estimate solar
irradiation in tropical and subtropical regions of Brazil. These
data will be validated using observational data (2001-2019)
collected by INMET (National Institute of Meteorology). The
variables used in the MERRA2 reanalysis and analyzed in this work
are Surface Net Downward Shortwave Flux (SWGNT), Surface Net
Downward Shortwave Flux assuming no aerosol (SWGNTCLN), Surface
Net Downward Shortwave Flux assuming clear sky (SWGNTCLR) and
Surface Net Shortwave Flux assuming clear sky and no aerosol
(SWGNTCLCLN). Initially, data from three meteorological stations
were compared with estimates of reanalysis data, where cloud cover
and aerosol inclusion were considered. A different behavior was
observed for the three seasons, where the Caic{\'o} station, with
low precipitation and air pollution index, had the values
estimated closer to clear sky and without aerosol. The
Taubat{\'e} station showed a regular behavior with values close
to expected considering the clouds and aerosol. The Campo Grande
station presented a behavior close to the two stations, with
periods of values close to expected, and a second period with
behavior closer to the data with clear sky. In the analysis of the
effects of aerosols using the variable AOD (Optical Depth of
Aerosols), the effect of aerosols from fires in the Amazon region
at Campo Grande station becomes clear and a little smaller in
Taubat{\'e}, especially in August and September. Conclusions are
still limited due to the low number of stations evaluated so far,
therefore, other stations will be included in the study to obtain
a better sampling of the data and to better explore the effect of
aerosol consideration on the SWGNT variable in regions strongly
affected by fires. in the Amazon.",
